Fear

Bridging the divide between what is rational and irrational is fear. Fear is a distressing emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain or is a threat. Our fears form the cornerstone of our painful cognitive thought patterns. Reality is both won and lost upon its management.

Fear based thought has devastating consequences. It introduces toxic thinking and those very toxic thoughts cause your mind to release chemicals, which over time begin to break you down both mentally and physically. Maintaining mental and physical vitality is a battle won in the mind. If we can overcome our fears we will no longer be governed by them. We cannot live our lives looking forward to tomorrow. Living a life of expectancy leads to disappointment and destruction. Take appreciation in the moment. Appreciate the air you breath, the soil upon which you walk, the energy in your legs and the light in your eyes because they are your true gifts. Meditate on the world around you for it is a beautiful gift from God. You will quickly find that fear can be dispersed via the admiration of the present.
